Diljit Dosanjh Had Prepared To Speak In English At Coachella But 'Angrezi Aayi Hi Nai Bahar'
Diljit Dosanjh says he prepared to speak in Punjabi at Coachella Music Festival 2023 but ended up talking in English like a true Punjabi.
Diljit Dosanjh made the whole nation proud as he became the first Indian to perform at Coachella Music Festival 2023. One of the main highlights was his energy on the stage as he sang his most popular songs. "Punjabi Aa Gaye Coachella Oye," he exclaimed and desis went bonkers over it.
Did you know Diljit prepared to say the same in English?

In an interview with ETimes, he said he knew people won't understand the language he was singing in, and so he told them to go with the vibe. However, he ended up saying this in Punjabi. Honestly, I had prepared saying that in English but impromptu Punjabi came out of me, as it usually does.
"End moment pe angrezi ayi hi nai meri bahar."
He added, "I did what I always do in my shows, go with the flow. Yes, of course, this was a bigger platform not in magnitude but scope, so I had to prepare beforehand. But, five minutes before starting, it all got washed out."
However, Diljit has no regrets. He thinks that his spontaneity works best as he "was my natural self."

"
Music has no language, the world is made up of sound. If we like the sound we vibe with it. I didn¡¯t pay attention to who was listening to me and who wasn¡¯t. But I knew that many people weren¡¯t following my language, which is why I ensured that I say this on stage, though what I said was also in Punjabi."
Diljit Dosanjh made DJ Diplo dance to his tunes too.
DJ Diplo himself shared the video on his Instagram profile in which he can be shaking a leg on Patiala Peg and wrote, "First Punjabi artist to perform at @coachella and y¡¯all really thought I would miss it? @diljitdosanjh."
Diljit Dosanjh's stylist Gurpartap Singh Kang who tied him Turle Wali Pagri calls it a proud moment.
He told News 18, "Haryana ke chote se village Ranjit Nagar (Gondar) se Coachella tak pouncha..Proud moment."
