Sharda Sinha Death: Folk singer¡¯s last words 'Mai Jald Hi Aaungi' to her husband resonate following her passing
Folk singer Sharda Sinha has passed away, and her last words to her late husband are going viral now. The words are from a Facebook post that she had put on her birthday, remembering what her husband used to do for her on her special day.
Indian folk singer Sharda Sinha, who was well known for her Chhath songs, passed away at the age of 72 yesterday. What has now got the attention of netizens is that she celebrated her birthday just a month ago, and her Facebook post from her birthday celebration is going viral. The singer remembered her late husband in the Facebook post in question, in which she had recalled how her husband would celebrate her birthday every year.
Sharda lost her husband on September 22, with her last meeting with him on September 17. Her last words to him were, ¡°Mai jald hi aaungi (I will join you soon).¡± This is so shocking for the netizens to notice that month later now Sharda Sinha is also no more. The duo had celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary together.

In the September 30 post, Sharda, a week after her husband¡¯s death, wrote, ¡°Sinha Sahab would quietly wake up and buy me roses and breakfast and would wait until I woke up. As soon as I would wake up, he would offer me those roses and wish me a birthday."

Hailing from Bihar, Sharda Sinha predominantly sang in Maithili and Bhojpuri. She was called Bihar Kokila, the cuckoo of Bihar. The singer had the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards for her contribution to music.
As Sharda Sinha breathed her last on November 5, she will be laid to rest with full state of honours in Bihar's Patna. It is so ironic that the singer has passed away when Chhath Puja is just around the corner and te whole of Bihar and parts of the country will be in festive mode with all her famous Chhath Puja songs.
