Gippy Grewal & Jazzy B 'Disappointed' With Bollywood For Not Standing Up For Punjab & Farmers
Rupinder Singh Grewal, popular by his stage name Gippy Grewal, said criticised Bollywood for not standing up for Punjab, at a time when they needed their support. He said Punjab always welcomed Bollywood with open arms, and so, this silence was painful.
"Bollywood lacks spine", that's what ace boxer Vijender Singh told Indiatimes.
While a lot of celebrities including Hansal Mehta, Sonu Sood, Richa Chadha, Taapsee Pannu, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Divya Dutta and Swara Bhasker have extended support to the protesting farmers, there are many who are still keeping mum.
This silence is bothering a lot of people including Punjab star Gippy Grewal.

Singer Jaswinder Singh Bains, popularly known by his stage name Jazzy B, rallied behind Grewal. "People whose conscience is alive are coming out in support, not the ones whose conscience is dead," he tweeted.

Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu responded to Grewal saying that several artistes in Bollywood have always taken a stand. She said that his generalised comment was "demotivating".

I understand what u r saying sir but calling the entire ¡°bollywood¡± out is unfair to a few like us who do stick the neck out every time for what we believe is right.Few out of the ones who spoke r not even from Punjab but their respect for farmers is what is making them stand up
