Photographer Claims Johnny Depp's Bruised Eye Photo With Amber Heard Isn't Photoshopped
Johnny Depp is currently awaiting a ruling in his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard.
Johnny Depp's million-dollars defamation trial against Amber Heard has created a huge buzz across the globe. The Pirates of the Caribbean fame has sued Amber Heard for implying in a 2018 op-ed, that he abused her while they were married.
Now, the photographer who was behind the infamous Raffles hotel picture of Johnny Depp and Amber his ex-wife Heard used as evidence in the case has finally been revealed. Reportedly, a Singaporean photographer, following the high-profile case ended up providing some key evidence in Johnny Depp-Amber Heard's defamation trail.
A photo of Johnny Depp's bruised eye which Amber Heard was pointing at was used as evidence of Amber's domestic abuse in the defamation trial. While the photographer said that it was not him who had clicked the picture of the then celebrity couple, the original photographer who snapped the infamous picture of Johnny Depp's bruised eye has been found through social media.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's defamation trial hearing started on April 11, as the Aquaman actress filed a counter case demanding a whopping $100 million from ex-husband Johnny Depp.
The Singaporean photographer identified as Russel Wong, had posted a photo of the celebrity couple on his Instagram account. The photo was snapped during Amber Heard and Johnny Depp's troubled honeymoon trip to Singapore in 2015. The picture showed the onscreen Jack Sparrow with discolouration under his eyes as he posed for a snap with his ex-wife Amber Heard and three others onboard the Orient Express train (Bangkok to Singapore).
Photographer Russel Wong believed Johnny's claim of being abused by his then-wife Amber Heard. And after Amber's lawyers claimed that a different picture was photoshopped wherein Johnny Depp's face had bruises, the Singaporean photographer started looking for this picture which he had reportedly seen hanging at the Raffles Hotel where the former celebrity couple had stayed during their honeymoon.
Photographer's Instagram Post About Johnny Depp's Bruised Face
Russel Wong took to his Instagram account to share the picture with a part of the caption that read, "I searched on the net that evening and found many blogs that featured it and noticed that same bruise on his face as the train shot. I then shared it on my Instagram in the late evening, wrote ¡®Happy Honeymoon¡¯ as a tongue in cheek comment. I just wanted to set the record straight not expecting anything."
