The court verdict on the infamous Nirabhaya case was welcomed with cheers all over the nation. The decision that all four convicts wil be hanged at 7 am on Jan 22. The 23-year-old woman was brutally gang-raped and tortured on Dec 16 2012 which led to her death.

Six accused were arrested and charged with sexual assault and murder. One of the accused, a minor, appeared before a juvenile justice court, while another committed suicide in Tihar Jail.
As soon as the court announced its decision, everyone including Bollywood celebrities lauded the decision.

Talking about the same yesterday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the verdict would be a lesson for all those who mistreat women. "People will be scared that, even though little late, the law will give them punishment and justice will be served.
Calling it a victory, he said it fulfilled a big wish of the people. "All were waiting eagerly for the verdict."

BJP, on the other side, also said that justice has been served. "Justice delivered to Nirbhaya. A Delhi court's verdict to execute 4 convicts will empower women and strengthen people's faith on judiciary," BJP leader and Union minister Prakash Javadekar tweeted.
The four convicts who will be hanged include Mukesh, Vinay Sharma, Akshay Singh and Pawan Gupta.
