Kangana Ranaut Calls Mrunal Thakur's Sita Ramam An 'Epic Love Story', Says She's Truly A Queen
Kangana Ranaut says 'Sita Ramam' is an epic love story, lauds actress Mrunal Thakur calling her 'truly a queen.'
Actress Kangana Ranaut, who has turned a critic of other actors' performance lately, has lauded actress Mrunal Thakur for her performance in the film Sita Ramam. Not just that, Kangana has also praised the film and called it an "epic love story."
Sita Ramam stars Mrunal Thakur opposite Dulquer Salmaan and is a Telugu-language period romantic drama based on an orphaned soldier (portrayed by DQ), whose life changes after he receives a letter from Sita (played by Mrunal).
Kangana has hailed all the actors in the film for doing amazingly well. However, what's interesting is tha only Mrunal's performance stood out for her.
Hailing the film¡¯s casting as ¡®terrific¡¯, the Tanu Weds Manu actress wrote on her Instagram Stories, ¡°All actors did amazingly well but what stood out the most for me (was) Mrunal Thakur¡¯s performance. Restrained emotions and rare dignity in her demeanour¡ no other actress could have portrayed. What a terrific casting. Truly a queen."
"Zindabad thakur saab (madam), here begins you reign¡" she further said in her note while adding a queen emoji.
While Mrunal is yet to respond to Kangana's message, looks like Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur's film is garnering much love from fans as well.
Recently, a fan from Poland sent a letter to the team of Sita Ramam showering love on DQ and Mrunal's latest outing. The letter was shared on Twitter by a person by the name Monika, whose bio says she is "a Polish fan of Indian cinema and music since 2006."
Actor Dulquer Salmaan, who is all set for the release of his upcoming film 'Chup' reacted to the letter by saying, "This is beautifully written. With a lot of sensitivity to the talent you have written to with a great understanding of the film itself and the cinema it is from. Lots of love to you. And hope we can continue to entertain all of you."
Mrunal Thakur too wrote a note of appreciation for the fan.
She wrote "I can¡¯t express in words how happy I am! You certainly made my day.¡±
The film Sita Ramam also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Bhumika Chawla and Murali Sharma among others in key roles. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudiperiod, the romantic drama hit theatres on August 5.
Meanwhile, Kangana is busy with her current project Emergency, which is based on Indira Gandhi and the emergency at the time she was the Prime Minister.
