Kangana Ranaut Claims Javed Akhtar Threatened Her For Refusing To Apologise To Hrithik Roshan
Actress Kangana Ranaut has claimed that lyricist Javed Akhtar has threatened her for refusing to apologize to Hrithik Roshan.
Dhaakad actress Kangana Ranaut had appeared in Mumbai court to record her statement in Javed Akhtar's defamation suit on Monday, July 4.
While recording her statement, the actress claimed that Bollywood lyricist, Javed Akhtar has insulted and threatened her for refusing to apologize to actor Hrithik Roshan.
The Gangster actress even said that the veteran lyricist told her that she will have to face adverse consequences from Hrithik Roshan's family as they could influence government officials and that she could be jailed thus committing the offence of extortion.
As per India Today reports, Kangana Ranaut requested the judge to allow her to record her statement only in presence of her sister Rangoli Chandel and her lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee.
Reportedly, 35-year-old Kangana Ranaut claimed that lyricist Javed Akhtar had told her, ¡°We will not take time to put up impostors, then it will be open to the public to know that your affair was not with Hrithik but with impostors, then your face will be blackened, there will be so much infamy in the public that you will have no other way except suicide.
We have evidence, they have all the ministries, apologize and save yourself. A girl from a good family will be drown in shame. If you have little shame to save your honor, then don't insist.¡±
She further told the court that Farhan Akhtar's father had allegedly caused her mental torture and provoked her to take a drastic step such as 'commit suicide.'
For the unversed, Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan's feud post their affair created a huge buzz. However, the controversy escalated after the Queen actress stated a legal battle with the Bang Bang actor after she filed a case against him involving exchanges of emails between the two.
Kangana Ranaut To Play Indira Gandhi
On the professional front, Kangana Ranaut's last movie, an action-thriller titled Dhaakad didn't do well at the box office and turned out to be a super flop. However, despite her film's failure, the actress is determined and working on her next project.
Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in the upcoming movie Emergency, in which she plays the character of Indira Gandhi. The film is based on the two big decisions of the former Indian Prime Minister.
