Kangana Ranaut claims she has lost around Rs 30-40 crore for speaking up against politicians and anti-nationals.
Kangana Ranaut, who often grabs headlines for her Instagram stories and remarks on various topics, has once again caught attention for her latest claims.
The actor, who is all set to be seen in the upcoming film Emergency, took to social media to share a news article about Elon Musk in which he says, "I¡¯ll say what I want, and if the consequences of that are losing money, so be it."
Kangana Claims Losing Money For Speaking Up Against Politicians
Sharing the screenshot of the article from a news portal, Kangana praised Twitter CEO Elon Musk and claimed that she had also suffered financial losses and brands dropped her for speaking up against politicians and 'anti-nationals' and in favour of the Hindu religion.
The Manikarnika actor claimed that voicing for Hinduism and against anti-nationals and politicians cost her several brand endorsements.
'Brands Dropped Me Overnight', Says Kangana
¡°This is a character, true freedom, and success, speaking for Hinduism, against politicians/anti-nationals/tukde gang costed me 20-25 brand endorsements, they dropped me overnight and that amounted to loss of 30-40cr per year... but I am free and nothing should stop me from saying what I want definitely not agenda," she wrote on her Instagram stories.
According to DNA, the actor further stated, ¡°Companies and their corporate brand heads who hate India its culture and integrity...appreciate Elon because everyone displays their weaknesses, at least rich person should not care."
In 2020, Kangana Ranaut tweeted about the situation in Maharashtra and compared it to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut condemned her statement and their verbal dispute escalated into a heated exchange on social media.
Kangana also criticized Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackerey.
On the work front, Kangana will next star in her own production 'Emergency' wherein she will be seen portraying the role of Indira Gandhi, India's former Prime Minister. Anupam Kher, late Satish Kaushik, and Milind Soman will be seen playing key roles in the film.
