Didn't Kangana say she would quit films after winning elections?
Before the Lok Sabha Elections, Kangana Ranaut in an interview with Aaj Tak had said that she would quit film films if she joins politics. Saying that the Bollywood is a "lie" and that everything in the industry is "fake", she added, "I am a very passionate person. I never wanted to do a job because I had to. Even in films I start writing, and when I get bored of playing a role, I direct or produce, so I have a very fertile mind and I want to be passionately engaged." When asked if she would quit films, her answer was "yes."
However, later, the actress clarified at the trailer launch event of Emergency, "Whether I would continue to act, I think this is a question where I would like people to decide." Furthermore, she added that if Emergency works well and people want to see more of her on the big screen, she will do what her audience wants.
