¡®Laga Lo Ilzaam¡¯, Karan Johar Takes A Dig At Claims Of Sabotaging Priyanka And Anushka¡¯s Career

Filmmaker Karan Johar is yet again a target of trolls but this time it isn¡¯t just another statement or tweet. A constant pattern of Karan allegedly ruining a few people¡¯s careers is the talking town. The fans of actresses Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma are highly convinced that behind the darkest days of their idol¡¯s career, Karan was the flame blower.

Karan has now indirectly reacted to the same and shared a few lines of a Hindi poem in his defence.

Karan took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, "Laga lo ilzaam, Hum jhukne waalon mein se nahi, Jhoot ka ban jao ghulam, Hum bolne waalon mein se nahi, Jitna neecha dikhaoge, Jitne aarop lagaoge, Hum girne waalon mein se nahi, Humara karam humari Vijay hai, Aap utha lo talvaar, Hum marne waalon mein se nahi.¡±

All of the fiaschi started with one of Priyanka Chopra¡¯s podcast interviews last month where she said, ¡°I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people. I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break.¡±

Soon after Karan¡¯s archrival and PeeCee¡¯s fashion co-star Kangana Ranaut tweeted in her support and said, ¡°People ganged up on her, bullied her and chased her out of the film industry. A self-made woman was made to leave India. Everyone knows Karan Johar had banned her.¡±

It was just days down that an old video of Karan saying he wanted to murder Anushka Sharma¡¯s career resurfaced, fueling the whole fiasco.

This time other than Kangana, it was Vivek Agnihotri and Apurva Asrani who went all horns against him and claimed that he sabotaged so many people¡¯s careers. Vivek tweeted, ¡°Someone¡¯s only hobby is to make or break careers. If Bollywood is in gutter, it¡¯s because of some people¡¯s dirty ¡®backroom¡¯ politics against talented outsiders.¡±

It¡¯ll be intriguing to know what more allegations the filmmaker faces in this row. On the work front, Karan is all set to return to the director¡¯s seat after seven years with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The family drama stars Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan and will it theatres on July 28 this year.
