As R'Bonney Gabriel of the US took over the legacy, Harnaaz Sandhu walked as the Miss Universe for one last time at the event.
A sobbing yet proud Harnaaz stunned her final walk and handed over her legacy ahead. What stood out about her presence at the event was the model¡¯s gown that had digital prints of India¡¯s former Miss Universe¡¯s Lara Dutta and Sushmita Sen. Harnaaz being the third lady from India gave a tribute to the veteran ladies in a heartwarming way.

Sharing a few pictures of her with the iconic gown, Harnaaz wrote on Instagram, ¡°It¡¯s my purest honour and gratitude to represent my incredible country at Miss Universe. For my finale walk as Reigning Miss Universe, I couldn¡¯t thank @officialsaishashinde and her team enough for making this dream gown come true!¡±
¡°A huge tribute to these two incredible women from India you have been making our country proud since becoming Miss Universe. @sushmitasen47 and @larabhupathi , I truly adore you both a lot¡this one is for you and INDIA ??¡±, she concluded. For the unversed, where Sushmita brought home the crown in 1994, Lara was Miss Universe of 2000.
In Harnaaz¡¯s comment section, Lara appreciated the model and called her a ¡®diamond¡¯.
Lara wrote, ¡°May you always shine bright like the diamond you are!! Stay your humble, amazing, strong self sista!!! Here¡¯s looking at you kid!!!!! Good luck for all that¡¯s yet to come!¡± Punjabi actress Sonam Bajwa wrote, ¡°Love this. Siraa lata¡±. Divita Rai who represented India this year but couldn¡¯t take the crown wrote under Harnaaz¡¯s post, ¡°Iconic Love you queen¡±.

On the professional front, Harnaaz has two Punjabi films in her name, Yaara Diya Poon Baran and Bai Ji Kutta Ge. Sandhu has also won Grazia India¡¯s ¡®Global Millenial Of The Year¡¯ award in 2022. Apart from that she was also featured in The Landers¡¯ Tarhthalli music video. Lara Dutta and Sushmita Sen on the other hand who were once Bollywood superstars now rarely pick up any project.
