'Trying Our Best', Say Doctors As Lata Mangeshkar Continues To Be In ICU Due To Covid-19
Giving an update on Lata Mangeshkar's health condition, the doctors said that they are trying their best. The music icon is stable now.
The third wave of Covid-19 has affected a lot of celebrities including Nora Fatehi, Fardeen Khan, Kareena Kapoor, John Abraham, Prem Chopra, Ekta Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and more. While most of them have recovered at home, Lata Mangeshkar, 92, remains to be in the ICU of Breach Candy Hospital.
The veteran singer was admitted to the hospital on January 8. Giving an update on her health condition, the doctors said that they are trying their best.
"Lata Ji is still in ICU, we are trying our best to ensure she recovers soon. Pray for her recovery," Dr. Pratit Samdani told India Today.
Lata Mangeshkar's spokesperson, Anusha Srinivasan Iyer, had earlier confirmed that the music icon was stable.
"Lata Di is stable. Will come home after the doctors give the nod," Iyer told PTI. A few days ago, rumours were rife that Lata Mangeshkar's health was deteriorating. Rubbishing the rumours, the spokesperson said, "It is disturbing to see false news being circulated. Please note that Lata didi is stable. Continues to be in ICU under treatment of able doctors. Please pray for her quick return home".
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope too had shared an update on the singer¡¯s health. He told reporters, "Lata Mangeshkar¡¯s condition is improving. I spoke to authorities of the Breach Candy hospital who updated me about her health. I told them that the spokesperson of the hospital should provide updates on the singer¡¯s condition as people are eager to know about her health."
