First, there were rumours that Sonakshi Sinha's father Shatrughan was not happy with her wedding to longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal. Then, it was said that her brothers Luv and Kush were also miffed with her over her choice. However, the buzz remained unconfirmed. Adding fuel to the speculations, the twin brothers weren't spotted at either the wedding or the reception. Now, Luv has finally revealed the reason behind skipping her sister's big day.

Luv first tweeted out a news link in which he hinted the reason behind his absence was brother-in-law Zaheer Iqbal's father. Days later, he deleted the post and claimed that the article "incorrectly attributed" him.

In the tweet, he wrote, "The reasons are very clear as to why I didn¡¯t attend, and would not associate with some people no matter what. I¡¯m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team".

Along with this, he also shared a paragraph from the article that read, "Apparently, one reason for anxiety was a rumour about the groom¡¯s antecedents. With carefully curated news stories about his family business, nobody tread grey areas like the groom¡¯s father¡¯s proximity to a politician whose ED enquiries had vanished in the 'washing machine'. Nor was there a whiff of the groom¡¯s father¡¯s stint in Dubai, which was rumoured to have ended rather abruptly."

Luv says he has deleted the post as the matter is now closed

After deleting the post, he tweeted, "The quote that is being incorrectly attributed to me is not my statement and was written in an article by a senior journalist . The matter is now closed, and I will not be commenting on it any further."

Zaheer Iqbal's father Iqbal Ratansi is good friends with Salman Khan

Ratansi is a close friend of Salman Khan and has been supporting him for a long time. He once provided financial assistance to Salman Khan during the 1980s. The Bollywood actor had himself tweeted about the same writing, "Iqbal Ratansi used to work like my personal bank during my teenage years. Even today, I have a loan of Rs. 2011 from him. Thank God that to date he has not asked for interest on his loan."
