Mimi Star Kriti Sanon Opens Up On Why Her Mom Didn¡¯t Allow Her To Do Karan Johar¡¯s Lust Stories

Actress Kriti Sanon is currently celebrating her 'Best Actress' award win at the 67th Filmfare Awards in Mumbai on Tuesday, August 30.
The Mimi star, who made her debut with the 2014 movie Heropanti, has come a long way in terms of her acting career. However, she still seeks her mother's approval when it comes to choosing scripts or signing a new film.
Kriti Sanon recently appeared in one of the episodes of Karan Johar¡¯s controversial chat show Koffee With Karan along with her first co-star Tiger Shroff.
During the episode of KWK, the actress spoke of the roles she had rejected in Bollywood because her mother Geeta Sanon, who happens to be a professor at the Delhi University by profession.
According to reports, Kriti Sanon's mother disapproved Karan Johar's film Lust Stories that was released on Netflix. Filmmaker Karan Johar had offered the 2018 anthology to the actress, however, Kriti rejected the offer and it was later taken up by Kiara Advani.
The film highlighted female sexuality.
¡°My mom said no to your (Karan Johar) role because she was not comfortable with the nature of the script, given the focus of it was only on sensual scenes. That is why she said better not to do it,¡± Kriti Sanon said while talking about the reason behind rejecting Lust Stories.
Lust Stories has a scene where the character portrayed by Kiara Advani has a loud orgasm in front of all her family members. Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon took to Instagram to share a small clip to express her joy after winning the Best Actor award.
"I ain`t sleepin alone tonight! Heart is full..#Gratitude. The black lady is finallyyyyy here..Thank you @filmfare for this much needed validation and for making my dream come true," the actress wrote on the social media platform.
