¡®Pehla Nasha¡¯ Girl Ayesha Jhulka Is Making A Comeback In Films After 7 Yrs, To Play A Mother

Remember Ayesha Jhulka ¨C the actress who played the role of a sweet girl Anjali in the cult classic film Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar? We are sure that pretty and innocent-looking face made several men go weak in the knees, and probably women had girl-crush on her too.

We haven¡¯t seen or heard of her in quite some time, right? Well, she is making a comeback in films soon in the role of a mother after a seven-year hiatus.

Last seen in Tanvir Ahmad¡¯s 2010 musical, Ada... A Way of Life, the actress will don the role of a mother in Gadar director Anil Sharma¡¯s next film titled Genius.

¡°I was not really prepared to work again, but Anil ji was really insistent. My character is a classy, elegant and an independent woman who is also a liberal mother and has a friendly relationship with her daughter. It¡¯s not the typical, conventional mother, which is what made me say ¡®yes¡¯ to it,¡± she told Mumbai Mirror.

She says she doesn¡¯t want to be a part of a rat race and will only give her nod of consent to projects that excite her.

¡°I have really enjoyed the time I have spent in the industry. Offers from television and web series kept coming in all along but I was not open to it then. I also suffered a slipped disc and was travelling a lot. My husband, Sameer (Vashi), sister, and secretary had been waiting for me to take up an offer for years now. I will do something that interests me but don¡¯t want to get into the rat race.¡±
