People Slam Mukesh Khanna For Saying #MeToo Problem Began After Women Stepped Out To Work
Just like how every male chauvinist blames women for all bad experiences and crimes against them, veteran actor Mukesh Khanna also did the same. But what was shocking was -- this coming out from our childhood superhero that we idolized. He blamed women for the rise in sexual harassment cases against them and said that women are only meant to do household work.
"Problem kaha se shuru hue hai #MeToo ki jab aurato nein bhi kaam karna shuru kar diya"
Just like how every male chauvinist blames women for all bad experiences and crimes against them, veteran actor Mukesh Khanna also did the same. But what was shocking was -- this coming out from our childhood superhero that we idolized.
"You are no Shaktiman," soon people slammed him on social media with such remarks. What he said was sad and a classic example of toxic mentality.
He blamed women for the rise in sexual harassment cases against them and said that women are only meant to do household work.
"Aurat ki rachna alag hoti hai aur mard ki alag hoti hai. Aurat ka kaam hai ghar sambhalna. Problem kaha shuru hui #MeToo ki? Jab auraton ne bhi kaam karna shuru kar diya. Aaj aurat aadmi ke sath kandhey se kandha milane ni baat karti hai. Problem yahi se shuru hoti hai. Sabse pehle jo member suffer karta hai woh ghar ka bachcha suffer karta hai jisko maa nahi milti," he told The Filmy Charcha in an interview.

Mukesh Khanna is the cautionary tale of how living in the past glory can be dangerous. His attention-seeking words reek of desperation .He wants to get validated by more misogynistic men & be hailed as a hero that he never was. Media needs to stop normalising such sexist men

Shaktimaan is actually Bhaktimaan https://t.co/4mxyDTI7Xa
This man is SICK. In short, if women will step out for work, men are entitled to sexually assault them? If women want safety, they should stay at home.

This isn't the first time he has made such a controversial comment. He had earlier had a fallout with Kapil Sharma after he called the comedian's show "vulgar and cheap".
He said this after his absence from an episode of the show that marked the reunion of Mahabharat cast. Gajendra Chauhan, who played Yudishthir in Mahabharat, had said that he was trying to gain publicity by attacking popular people. "He was a flop actor before Mahabharat. All his films had failed, which is why he turned to TV from films," he added.
