Naveen Kumar suffered minor injuries because of the incident. Police, as per a report on PTI, said that they suspect rivalry between fans of Ajith over erecting banners as the motive behind the crime.
Directed by H Vinoth, Valimai, which also features Bollywood actor Huma Qureshi.
The investigation is currently underway.
