Actress and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt recently criticized a group of people for singing 'Jai Shri Ram' and Garba songs which is being hailed as "Hindutva pop" inside the Mumbai metro, thus expressing her disapproval of public spaces getting "misused". Taking to social media, Bhatt states that law and order can't prevail if people don't follow basic civic sense.

Sharing the tweet in which the user hailed the video as "Hindutva Pop" or "H-pop", Pooja Bhatt asked how this was allowed in public space. Furthermoe, she said that it doesn't matter what the people were singer - whether it was Hindutva pop, Christmas carols, Bollywood blockbusters, or anything else, and sternly stated that public spaces should not be misused like this. She questioned the authorities for allowing this.

In a follow up tweet, she stated that law and order wouldn't sustain if we all cannot follow basic civic rules. Talking about the current situation, she said that illegal hoardings from all political parties are defacing the city, the metro has been turned into a party zone, and firecrackers are being lit in the middle of the street, often used as cover by assailants.

Pooja Bhatt's tweet comes days after Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead amid a cover of a Dussehra procession and fireworks in Bandra. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has taken responsibility for the shooting.
Devastated with the news of Baba Siddique passing. More so by the manner in which his life was taken. Have known him since a teenager.This is a blow to those who knew him beyond the public figure & politician he was. May his death not be in vain. Law & order must prevail. ???

Facebook profile by the name of Shubuu Lonkar, who is believed to be Bishnoi gang associate Shubham Rameshwar Lonkar, in a post stated, "We do not have any enmity with anyone but whoever helps Salman Khan and the Dawood gang, keep your accounts in order ('hisab-kitaab kar lena')". Meanwhile, security for Salman Khan has been beefed up and sources claim that he is devastated after his close friend's death.
