R Madhavan Buys A Barren Piece Of Land In Tamil Nadu, Turns It Into Lush Green Coconut Farm
R Madhavan turned a barren piece of land in a village Tamil Nadu's Palani into a coconut farm. He plans to replicate this model worldwide.
While his contemporaries were busy cooking, sweeping and mopping the floor during the pandemic, Madhavan, who has always been vocal about environmental issues, was giving us a sneak peek into his terrace garden, thereby motivating others to opt for sustainable methods.
He is beaming with happiness even more now, as he along with his cousin has successfully turned a barren piece of land into a coconut farm.
It was five years ago that Madhavan along with his cousin brother Subayogan had bought a barren piece of land in a village near Tamil Nadu's Palani. Both of them made several efforts to give life to the land. Their efforts have turned successful as it has now been turned into a coconut farm.
"It was wonderful to see the land rejuvenated and yield what it was meant to in the first place. From preparing the land with the right mulch to putting the right kind of fish in the well¡ª every bit of learning has been priceless and so worth it", he was quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror.
Madhavan plans to replicate the model worldwide.
"It has been one of the most satisfying and rewarding experiences of our lives. It was wonderful to see the land rejuvenated and yield it was meant to be in the first place.
