Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Issues Clarification Over Viral Video
Later, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, his disciple, and the disciple's father¡ªwhom he had previously abused¡ªreleased a clarification video. He said in the video that the bottle he had asked for contained holy water. While many people thought the said bottle had alcohol, the singer clarified that it didn't.
He said, ¡°Ye Jo hua videos aap dekh rahe hai, ye ek Ustad aur Shagird ke beech ki baat hai.¡±
"This is about a personal issue between an ustad and shagird. He is like my son. This is how the relation is between a teacher and his disciple. If a disciple does something good, I shower my love on him. If he does something wrong, he is punished," he said in the video.

Reacting to this video, One wrote, ¡° We all love his singing. but this man is so cruel from inside ....tough to believe but its a fact now.¡±
Another added, ¡°Atrocious! Rahat Fateh Ali Khan should be boycotted by everyone who respects human dignity.¡±
A third went on to add, ¡°Clearly this isn't the first time he's done it. Should be arrested on the basis of this evidence alone. Talent does not excuse savagery.¡±
A fourth wrote, ¡°It is a common human failing to recognise that human beings are nuanced and always in shades of grey. We rightly admire some people - singers, actors, cricketers etc - for their talents: childishly presume they are perfect humans without defects of temperament or character.¡±
