Rajkummar Rao mother death: The actor was on the sets of his 2017 film Newton when he got to know that his mother Kamlesh Yadav has passed away. To just realised that our parents are growing old is a miserable feeling. To lose them is a loss that can never be compensated or recovered.
Rajkummar Rao was on the sets of his 2017 film Newton when he got to know that his mother Kamlesh Yadav has passed away.
Circumstances were such that he couldn't even go back. He had to continue the shoot the very next day.
Rajkummar Rao said that he often lost control over emotions during shots but he continued to act remembering that's what his mother would have wanted him to do. He added that his mother took pride in him being an actor.
In an interview with Mashable India, Rao revealed, "I remember I gave a shot and was exiting from the frame. I saw a boy running to me and I was like why is he entering while the shot is still on. The boy said, ¡®Patralekhaa ma'am wants to talk to you¡¯ and that¡¯s how I got to know".
"The flight journey was difficult and to come back all alone on set (Gurgaon) . As I had to go back again, the very next day to continue shooting. I thought I was strong enough... but that's what my mother also wanted... me being an actor she was the happiest... but ho nahi paya... I couldn't control my emotions.... During the shots, there were tears rolling down... I would say keep rolling... give me 30 seconds..."
Rajkummar Rao's mother was a big fan of Amitabh Bachchan. He regrets that he couldn't make her meet him.
When Rao appeared on Kaun Banega Crorepati, he revealed he contacted Big B when her mother passed away. He said, "When she died, I felt really guilty that I wasn't able to get her to meet you. That very night, I contacted you and told you about it. I asked you if it was possible for you to make a short video for her and I will not show it to anyone else and I'll just play the video in front of her photo because she just wanted to meet you once."

Bachchan immediately sent him a video but it mystically disappeared from the pen drive right after he played it. Rao added, "the video was supposed to be only between you and her."
In March this year, Rajkummar Rao posted a heartfelt note for his mother Kamlesh Yadav on her death anniversary.
"It's been 6 years Maa, since you left us but I know you are always there with me. I¡¯ll always keep you in my heart and I know you¡¯re always there to guide me, protect me, love me and bless me. I¡¯m a very proud son and I¡¯ll always try and make you a proud Mother. You will always be my Hero. I love you Maa," he wrote.
Last year, he had shared his childhood photo, and along with it, he wrote, "It's been 5 years, Maa, since you left us, but, there has not even been a single day since, wherein, I haven't felt your presence. Nothing in this world would have been possible for me without your blessings and I know your blessings are still there with me...
"Nothing in this world would have been possible for me without your blessings and I know your blessings are still there with me. Mothers are the best and there is nothing in this world more valuable than a mother. I see you in every mother out there." he added in his post.
The Newton actor wrote, "Mujhe pata hai aap jahan bhi hain, khush hain aur papa aur aap milkar khoob baatein karte honge aur apna aashirwaad humein dete rehte honge. I'll always try and make you proud Mummy ji. Thank you, for teaching me the two valuable lessons- 1) Compassion 2)Too always have faith despite the unfriendly circumstances. I am proud to be your son ."
