We recently told you about how Randeep Hooda lost 18 kgs within a month for his upcoming film Sarabjit. Directed by Omug Kumar, Sarabjit is the biopic on the man by the same name who, by mistake, crossed the border and reached Pakistan, but was held by them on the accusation of being an Indian spy. So to play the part of a starving prisoner he needed to lose a great deal of weight, which he managed to do within a span of 28 days! Now, that's quite an achievement!
But recently, we also stumbled upon some reports that Randeep Hooda's look from the film might be inspired from Australian actor Chrish Hemsworth's look from his latest film In The Heart Of The Sea. He had shared his toned down look also with his fans just a few months ago.

Chris Hemsworth plays the role of a whale-hunter in the film, whose ship gets stuck in the middle of the sea. So he had to play the role of a starving sailor in the film for which he lost almost 15 kgs. To shed all that weight, Chris also admitted in various interviews that he almost ate nothing to become this skinny, and survived on a diet of 500 calories only.
While of course, we can see the similarities in both the looks, we think Randeep definitely looks convincing as a starving prisoner in Sarabjit.
According to the director of Sarabjit, Omung Kumar, "Randeep cut down on his meals, filling up on coffee and water, even when we were shooting in Palghar and gorging on some great food. In his years in jail, Sarabjit was kept in a 4 x 4 room and had rat bites all over him. The first time I met Randeep, I told him that I wanted to see his bones. He took up the challenge and shocked even me."
Well, this clearly proves what a great deal of hard work Randeep must have gone through to achieve this look! #Respect!
