Ranveer Singh Tells Mumbai Police He Was Wearing 'Chaddi', The Naked Photo Online Is 'Morphed'
Ranveer Singh has told Mumbai police that he didn't upload any nude pictures on social media as he was wearing a 'chaddi'.
Actor Ranveer Singh, who stole the limelight from Ranbir Kapoor on the day 'Shamshera' released due to his nude photo controversy, now claims that he was wearing a 'chaddi' in the pictures he had uploaded online.
The ' Band Baaja Baaraat' actor has informed Mumbai police that the nude photo against which a complaint has been filed is morphed and that he has nothing to do with it.

The ' Gully Boy' actor was summoned by police after an FIR was registered against his nude picture that had gone viral on the internet. The FIR states that a photo that was shared online was part of Ranveer¡¯s nude photoshoot for Paper Magazine and that the 37-year-old actor allegedly showed his private parts in that picture.
However, according to reports, Ranveer Singh in his statement recorded with the Mumbai Police has claimed that the picture showing private parts is not among those seven photos of his that had been uploaded via his Instagram account. He said it is 'morphed.'

"In his statement, he has said that the seven photographs he posted on Instagram were not obscene and he was wearing underwear. He added that the photograph in which the complainant had alleged that his ¡®private parts were visible¡¯ was morphed and not part of the photo shoot,¡± an officer said, according to indianexpress.com.

Reports further suggest the officer has revealed that Ranveer has provided them with all the photos taken during the photoshoot for the magazine.
"The police team also checked his Instagram posts, which do not have the photograph that was given by the complainant,¡± the officer was quoted as saying by the media outlet.
It is said that Ranveer is likely to get a clean chit in the case related to his nude photo controversy as the FIR was registered on grounds that the picture showed his private parts while those uploaded by the 'Padmavat' actor cannot be termed as 'obscene.'

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer Singh will next feature in Rohit Shetty's 'Cirkus' alongside Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez, the actress who is currently facing trouble for her link with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar in the Rs 200 crore extortion case.
