Ranvir Shorey who has been in self-isolation at his home recently stepped out to help his house help reach the hospital. The house help's wife was at the hospital for child delivery. While they were on their way, the police stopped them.
According to reports, his help's wife was about to deliver a baby and the hospital was refusing to file paperwork without the father being present there.

Not only he was detained, his car was also impounded, he wrote on Twitter. An FIR was filed against his "innocent driver".
"Officer in charge says a child being delivered is not an emergency," he said. The actor said it was after eight hours that he was set free along with his car with no FIR against his driver.
