Rajamouli's RRR Beats Top Gun And The Batman, Becomes Best Picture Runner Up At HCA Awards
RRR has achieved another feat by becoming the first runner up at Hollywood Critics Association midseason awards, beating Tom Cruise's Top Gun Maverick and Robert Pattinson's The Batman.
SS Rajamouli's epic historical action movie RRR that bowled over the audiences in India as well as abroad has once again set another record. The Ram Charan and Jr NTR-starrer made history by being nominated under the Best Picture category at the Hollywood Critics Association mid-season awards.
Now, RRR has achieved another feat by becoming the first runner up, beating Tom Cruise's Top Gun Maverick and Robert Pattinson's The Batman.
While RRR has bagged the second spot, Everything Everywhere All At Once has won the honour.

Other movies that were nominated include Turning Red, Cha Cha Real Smooth, Elvis, The Northman, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.
Rajamouli's RRR is making waves internationally. The movie starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan was recently praised by American comic book writer Jackson Lanzing and screenwriter Larry Karaszewski.
Jackson Lanzing who has written for films like Batman Beyond and Captain America on Twitter said that watching RRR was the best time he had at the movies.

Karaszewski, the co-writer of films like Ed Wood, Agent Cody Banks and Big Eyes also praised the movie.

Hollywood actor Patton Oswalt got so impressed with RRR that he has been recommending it to everyone.
In another tweet, he wrote, "You guys are out of your f**king minds, you should not be allowed to make films, and I can¡¯t wait to see what you do next."

RRR garnered huge success in the UK. Telugu actor Ram Charan thanked fans and told PTI, "A special thank you to our UK fans for showering us with so much love and support."
"It is this love and affection that makes us who we are and drives us to work harder and present you all with good films. I have both vacationed and filmed in the UK several times and it has always been a great experience." he added.
Ram Charan said it is the "universal" theme of friendship that is at the heart of the blockbuster and it has struck a chord with the global audiences.
"Irrespective of language or continent, audiences connect to it and that¡¯s what helped RRR garner a wide range of audience. Also post ¡®Baahubali¡¯, SS Rajamouli (SSR) earned global credibility for his impeccable skill of storytelling. Every person who was involved in the film, worked with strong conviction and I think people from across the globe could see the determination and perseverance," he said.
