Saif Ali Khan's Zombie Comedy 'Go Goa Gone' To Return For A Sequel In 2021 And Fans Are Excited!
'Go Goa Gone 2' to release next year
After making fans wait for seven years, the much-awaited sequel to zombie comedy Go Goa Gone is finally happening. The news was announced by studios Eros international and Maddock Films on Wednesday.
Just to jog your memory a little, the first film, which featured Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das and Anand Tiwari, followed three men whose holiday to Goa turns out to be a zombie nightmare.
In the film, Saif played the role of Boris, a Russian mobster-turned-zombie hunter, in the Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK-directed film.
The makers have confirmed that the sequel will take off from the point where the original ended.
The film that didn't really do well at the box-office became a cult because of powerful word of mouth. Fans are excited as soon as the news was confirmed.
And the sequel to one of my personal favourite, #GoGoaGone has finally been announced for a March 2021 release. Part 2 will take off from the point where the 2013-Zombie Comedy ended. #GoGoaGone2

Biggest question will be if Raj and DK are back. #GoGoaGone was more about them and their style of storytelling. Just hope, that's the case here also... #GoGoaGone2 https://t.co/2alPZEhTuc

All the actors are expected to reprise their characters.
"It's been quite a journey from 2013, and I'm so excited we're back again with this crazy ride! Go Goa Gone redefined many things, and we are gunning to do that again. The characters have stayed with us all this while and we are thrilled to bring them back to life. Sunil and I have had a great partnership and I'm excited to be back together especially for this film. We are finishing the final draft and we should roll by September 2020," Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films said in a statement.
