Salman Khan Receives Y+ Security Amidst Threats From Bishnoi Gang; Akshay Kumar Gets X Category
After receiving multiple murder threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Mumbai Police has finally granted Salman Khan Y+ security.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang which allegedly killed Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala now apparently has its eyes on Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Salman has reportedly received multiple threats to life from the gang and that has everyone worried. Fresh reports suggest that he has now been provided Y+ security.
In light of the security concerns involving the country¡¯s biggest superstar, the Maharashtra government has decided to upgrade Salman¡¯s security alongside actors Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher.
Earlier in June this year, Salman Khan and his father, writer Salim Khan received a threatening letter which was spotted by their house guards. The letter endangered to do a ¡®Moosewala¡¯ to Salman and Salim, a reference to the rapper who they killed in Punjab this year. Mumbai Police had then arrested multiple gangsters from Lawrence Bishnoi¡¯s gang, some of who confessed to targeting Salman.
Ever since then, Salman was provided regular police protection from the Mumbai Police up till now when his security is reportedly upgraded.
As per a Mid-Day report, the Bigg Boss host will now receive a Y+ security cover which means he will be secured by four armed security personnel at all times. Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher on the other hand have been given X-category security where they will have three security officers in shifts protecting them. The report further reveals that they will themselves bear the cost of the protection.
When were the attempts made to kill Salman?
In the last few months, multiple investigations across Mumbai, Punjab, and Delhi have revealed that gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar are planning to kill Salman Khan for a long time in Mumbai. Reports revealed that they had already made two unsuccessful attempts to murder him. Once outside his Bandra home during his birthday in 2017 and another at his Panvel farmhouse in 2018.
Anupam Kher has reportedly received security cover after receiving threats after the release of his film The Kashmir Files while Akshay has it based on social media threats around his nationality. On the work front, Anupam Kher has an interesting lineup including Connect, Shiv Shashtri Balboa, Tiger Nageswara Rao and Voice of Sathyanathan.
Akshay Kumar whose recent release Ram Setu is struggling at the box office has films like Selfiee, OMG 2, Capsule Gill and Soorarai Pottru's untitled remake in his kitty. Meanwhile, Salman Khan will be seen in Pathaan, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Tiger 3.
