Angry fans slammed him for allegedly beating his girlfriend, running car over people and killing deer. "Yeah, they aren't openly abusing women, transporting people to heaven by car and then roaming freely, that too Chhathi Phoolake, as if they own the world. Sahi hai," one of them wrote. "Unless being a man means hitting your partner, killing people and animals and getting away with it, and threatening people, then we don't want such men either," added another user. "Why men not beating up girlfriends, killing deers or Running Cars over people," a third comment read.

What did Salman Khan say?
At the event, Salman Khan said that, unlike other writers who simply write, his father and Javed Akhtar had put their life experiences into their writings and that's what makes them different. He said their own experiences were visible on the big screen back then while other writers took things from existing cinema and put it back in the cinema.
What he said next has sparked controversy. He added, "God makes men, they don¡¯t want to be men anymore... He makes a lot of men. But this generation, they do not want to be men. These two here, my father and Javed Sahab, they are men, they are still men and they want to be men."
