After Divorce From Naga Chaitanya, Samantha Ruth Prabhu Thought She Would 'Crumble And Die'
Samantha Ruth Prabhu thought she would die and crumble after divorce from her husband Naga Chaitanya. The Family Man season 2 actress never knew she was strong.
On one side, Samantha Ruth Prabhu got national recognition for her role in Family Man season 2, and on the other, she faced a tumultuous situation on a personal end. She got divorced from her husband Naga Chaitanya. While professionally, she was flying high, emotionally, she was bogged down because of that.
So much so, that at point, she felt she would crumble and die.
In an interview with Filmfare, Samantha Ruth Prabhu said, "I thought I was a much weaker person. I thought that with my separation, I would crumble and die. I didn't think I was capable of being this strong...Today I'm very very proud of how strong I'm because I really didn't know I was."
In another interview with Film Companion, when she was asked about her plans for 2020, she said, "With everything that has happened in my personal life in 2021, I really have no expectations. All my carefully-laid plans have crumbled, so I have no expectations. I¡¯m open to whatever the future has in store for me, I¡¯ll give it my very best."
After announcing the separation, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was subjected to trolls on social media. She told Elle, "I don¡¯t demand unconditional acceptance. I encourage people to have different opinions but we can still love and have compassion for each other. I would only request them to express their disappointment in a more civilised way."
Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation in October after four years of marriage.
