Santhanam, who predominantly works in Tamil cinema, is making heads turn on social media but for a very wrong reason.
The actor-producer is getting massively trolled for his latest social media stunt with a tiger. In a video shared by Santhanam on his official Twitter account, the actor can be seen petting a tiger while sitting near a pool.

The video has caught much attention on social media and people are claiming that the actor is allegedly 'promoting animal abuse.' While many schooled Santhanam for his 'irresponsibility,' others called him 'sick' and 'shameless' for not deleting the post despite being criticized for it.
Taking to the comment section of the video shared on Santhanam's official Twitter handle, one user slammed him saying, "What kind of irresponsible behaviour is this? Do you realise you are encouraging animal abuse? In which world is it okay to keep a wild animal like this and stun it to wake up?

In the viral video, the actor can be seen touching the tiger's tail while another person pokes and teases the tiger with a 'stick.' The tiger looked visibly tired. Many people asked the Santhanam to realise his mistake and delete the video that has taken the internet by storm.
For the unversed, Santhanam started his career as a comedian on Television. He later shot to fame for his comedy roles in Tamil movies and eventually became one of the most sought-after comedians in the south film industry.
The comedian-turned-hero later went on to grab main roles in movies. He played a hero in Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya and completely stopped taking up comedy roles. Santhanam was last featured in Gulu Gulu and Agent Kannayiram. The actor will be next seen in Kick and Server Sundaram, which are currently under production.
