with his fianc¨¦ Dimple Cheema.
The courageous Vikram Batra was as filmy as an ordinary man. But it¡¯s hard to believe that someone with uniform can be so filmy. Shershaah writer Sandeep too felt that the story of cutting his thumb and using the blood as sindoor to Dimple Cheema was cooked up. But he only believed it when Dimple herself confirmed it saying that he was a filmy man.
Talking to Indian Express, Sandeep said,
¡°The act itself is over-the-top as if from the 70s or 80s, but Dimple¡¯s reaction of ¡°kinna filmy banda mila hai mainu (My man is so filmy)¡± balances it. Dimple is such a beautiful aspect to this story¡±.
The eternal love story of Dimple and Capt. Vikram Batra is no less than film. Earlier in one of his interviews, Sandeep had said that Dimple (who is still single even today) and Vikram had spent only 40 days together in their lifetime.
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani played Capt Vikram Batra and Dimple and have made a special place in audience hearts forever.
