'Not Contesting Elections', Says Sidhu Moosewala's Father After Meeting Home Minister Amit Shah
Sidhu Moosewala's Father has clarified that he is not contesting elections and has not intention to do so. He met with Home Minister Amit Shah recently.
Soon after Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala's parents met Home Minister Amit Shah in Chandigarh, rumors about him joining the politics had already started to float on social media. Balkaur Singh was upset about the baseless speculations doing the rounds and so he used his son's social media account to clarify the same.

In a video posted on Sidhu Moose Wala's account, Singh requested people not to believe those who are spreading false information that he is joining politics. He said that he has no intention to contest any election.
"I'm the father of Sidhu Moose Wala. I wanted to tell you a few things. I¡¯m very sad about what I¡¯m seeing on social media. There are different rumours that are going on, don't believe that. I lost my son recently. I have no intention of contesting any elections. Thank you for supporting me in these difficult times. I have a request for all of you. There is a prayer meeting on June 8, you come I will meet and answer your questions then. Currently, I am not in a state to talk much".

Moose Wala's father wrote a letter to Shah, demanding a probe into his son's killing by a central agency.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday pledged to put the killers behind bars at the earliest. "Police have got vital clues regarding the murder of Sidhu Moosewala and the day is not far when we will nab the perpetrators of this heinous crime," he assured the aggrieved family during his visit to their native home in Mansa district.
Notably, Moose Wala¡¯s body had 19 bullet injury injuries and he died within 15 minutes of being shot, according to the post-mortem report, which also stated that the cause of his death was "haemorrhage shock" due to antemortem firearm injuries.
On Thursday, the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government told the Punjab and Haryana High Court that it will restore the security cover to all 424 people from June 7 which was withdrawn temporarily for the Amritsar Ghalughara event.
Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar reportedly claimed responsibility for the murder of the Punjabi singer in a Facebook post on Sunday evening. Brar is a close aide of gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi, who is also said to be involved in the singer¡¯s murder. Brar aka Satinder Singh is involved in multiple criminal cases.
