Here's what Reddit thinks about the furore over Sonam Kapoor's performance.
A user said, "She is UK resident and have probably being paid a nice sum to show up, all this colonial mindset stuff are hilarious to me. These people who are accusing her of having a slave mindset would take a British passport in a heartbeat if offered ? They have invited celebrities from all over the world including Britain former colonies, no big deal."
Another one said, "Because she and Kareena are obsessed with the royals".
A third user commented, "I don't think Royal Family pays for such things, isn't it based on "the honor of exposure" . I don't know I always assumed it was invitation, not hiring."
