Sonu Sood Feels Honored After Migrant Family Expressed Gratitude By Naming Their Baby After Him
A migrant worker who was pregnant when Sonu Sood has helped her in going home by arranging buses has named the son Sonu Sood Shrivastav. In a heartwarming gesture and in order to say 'thank you' to Sonu Sood, a migrant family was so impressed by his deed that they named their baby after him.
They say success is measured in love and not money. By using his money and power to help people in need, Sonu Sood is winning hearts of the people, especially those who have been able to reach their homes because of him.
In a heartwarming gesture and in order to say 'thank you' to Sonu Sood, a migrant family was so impressed by his deed that they named their baby after him.
"One of the groups that I sent to Darbhanga on May 12 had two pregnant ladies in it. The group has reached home and this lady had her baby yesterday; The family called me to say that she has named her son Sonu Sood."
"I said, how can it be Sonu Sood as you are Shrivastav. It could probably be Sonu Shrivastav, but she said, ¡®Nahi humney bachche ka naam Sonu Sood Shrivastav rakha hai. That was so sweet; I was touched," Sonu Sood told Bombay Times as per a TOI report.
Sonu Sood has been doing what the centre and the state government took an oath to do. While they have not been efficient at their job, Sonu Sood has emerged as a huge hope for migrants stranded in different parts of Maharashtra during the lockdown.
When a fan hailed him as the next Amitabh Bachchan, he gave a humble response and won the hearts of the audience again.

The fan wrote, "Jab sab theek ho jayega, uske baad appko har Sunday shoot se chutti leni padegi. Log apse milne aenge. Jo log ghumne ayenge wo puchenge ki Sonu Sood ka ghar kahan hain. Sonu Sood agla Amitabh (Bachchan)." To this Sonu Sood replied, "Wo kyu mere ghar ayenge dost, mai un sab ke ghar jaunga. Bahut sare aloo paranthe, paan aur chai udhar hai mere doston pe."
Sonu Sood says he will continue sending the migrants home until the last one unites with his family.
"I will continue sending migrants home until the last migrant reunites with his family and loved ones. This is something really close to my heart and I will give it my all," the 46-year-old actor had earlier told PTI.
He has now launched a toll free number - 18001213711 through which one can reach out to his team for help.
"I was getting a lot of calls... thousands of calls everyday. My family and friends were busy collecting the data then we realised we might miss out on a lot of people who we will not be able to approach us. So we decided to open this call centre, it is a toll free number," Sood told PTI.
"We have a dedicated team working on it, trying to reach out to maximum people and contact each and every person. We don''t know how many people we will be able to help but we will try," he added.
