'Sorry Munawar': Celebrities Support Munawar Faruqui On His 'I'm Done, Goodbye' Statement
Munawar Faruqui gets support from celebrities like Swara Bhasker and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub after his 12 shows got cancelled and he released a statement hinting that he won't perform on stage from here on.
Twelve shows of Munawar Faruqui got cancelled in two months because of the threats from Hindutva groups. The comedian had spent a month in jail for a joke that he apparently didn't crack during his show in Indore that led to the brawl.
Feeling heartbroken and shattered, Faruqui took to Twitter to say goodbye. "I'm done" he wrote and hinted that he may no longer perform on stage. His statement came after Bengaluru Police wrote to the organisers of his show in the city asking them to cancel the show.
Soon, celebrities like Swara Bhasker and Zeeshan Ayyub extended support to him and said sorry.
Nafrat jeet hai, Artist haar gaya.
