The Dolby Theatre in 2023 was echoing with SS Rajamouli's roar as he screamed his lungs out when Naatu Naatu was announced as the winner under the Best Original Song category. After cheering for his own film, he adorably hugged his wife Rama Rajamouli who was standing beside her and was equally excited. On the ace filmmaker's 51st birthday, here's a throwback video that will forever remain etched in hearts.

Last year, SS Rajamouli's RRR created history by becoming the first Indian feature film to win an Oscar. The movie's popular song by MM Keeravani was awarded the Best Original Song Award at the 95th Academy Awards in Los Angeles, United States.
As the winner in the category was announced, Rajamouli and his wife dressed in Indian attires were seen happily screaming on top of their voices, sharing a sweet hug before going on to the stage to collect the award. The Indian filmmaker also got a standing ovation.
James Cameron met SS Rajamouli
Hollywood filmmaker best known for films like Avatar and Titanic, James Cameron had met and praised SS Rajamouli at the event. They chatted for about 10 minutes. He told him that he loved RRR and had been recommended to his wife Suzy. He watched the Indian film again with her. When asked about the meeting, Cameron was quoted as saying, "Well, I was being honest with him at the time that I thought it was spectacular work. It was great to see Indian cinema bursting out onto the world stage with broad acceptance."
