Sunanda Sharma¡¯s legal battle against Pinky Dhaliwal: Why singer thought of ending her life
After Punjabi singer Sunanda Sharma accused music producer Pinky Dhaliwal of financial theft and abuse, Dhaliwal was taken into custody on Sunday. The singer has now written a note and explained how she felt like ending her life.

Punjabi music producer Pushpinder Dhaliwal was taken into custody by Mohali police on Saturday on suspicion of deceiving and taking advantage of actress and singer Sunanda Sharma. The accused, also known as Pinky Dhaliwal, was taken into custody by Mataur police on Saturday night outside his home in Sector 71. Sunanda Sharma has now shared her situation on Instagram following all of the chaos.
Sunanda Sharma says she thought of ending her life
She wrote on Instagram that her situation is representative of all middle-class artists who fall victim to "crocodiles."
She voiced her frustration, saying that the problem went beyond money and included the psychological abuse she experienced. She underlined that every middle-class artist who wants to establish a profession struggles with this, only to be duped by opportunists. She claims that these people take advantage of diligent artists by treating them like beggars and utilising their profits to fund their own destinies. Some individuals think they are better than Waheguru, she said.
She added, ¡°They mentally harassed me. I would cry alone in my room for days and sometimes even thought of ending my life. But I still managed to keep a smile on my face. I understood that if I cried in front of people, I would find myself trapped by another crocodile."

Sunanda Sharma and Pushpinder Dhaliwa¡¯s case
Sharma said in her case that Dhaliwal had financially exploited her for years by forcing her to appear at concerts and gatherings without paying her what she was due.
As per HT, Sharma said that even though she made more than Rs 250 crore during this time, the accused illegally seized all of her money and refused to pay her what she was entitled. She exposed the obvious financial exploitation she experienced by disclosing that not a single payment was provided to her directly. She went on to say that this circumstance has negatively affected both her general well-being and financial security.
