'Mumbai Police Did Not Allow Bihar Police To Investigate SSR's Death Case', Ex-DGP Claims
Ex-DGP Gupteshwar Pandey has revealed that Bihar police were not allowed to investigate Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.
A day after a Cooper Hospital mortuary worker claimed that "actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death did not appear to be a suicide", Bihar's ex-Director General of Police Gupteshwar Pandey has stated that Mumbai Police was hiding something which is why they did not allow the police in Bihar to investigate SSR death case.
Pandey was in charge of the investigation when Sushant Singh's father filed an FIR in Patna in the year 2020.
DGP Pandey sent his team to Mumbai for probing the matter. During an interview with the news agency ANI, Pandey said that Mumbai Police didn¡¯t cooperate with his team of Bihar police, who were sent to investigate the death case.
¡°My team and I did not get enough time for investigation. If I would have got 15 days, the case would have been solved and the case would not have been handled the way it is being done," former DGP Pandey said, as per the news agency.
Moreover, Pandey exuded confidence the truth may come out with the support of Maharashtra's current government.
"Now the government there (Maharashtra) has changed hope the truth comes out. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has also been formed to investigate the entire situation," Gupteshwar Pandey was quoted as saying to ANI.
Moreover, Sushant Singh Rajput's sister has reacted to the new claims of her late brother's alleged suicide being a murder. SSR's sister Shweta Singh Kirti has urged the CBI to look into the matter 'diligently' and has also sought a fair investigation.
