For those who have regularly been watching Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, one of the longest-running TV shows, the characters have become a part of their daily lives.
The ardent fans of the show witnessed a major setback after the death of a beloved actor Ghanshyam Nayak, who essayed the role of endearing Nattu Kaka in the show.
Now, as per the latest reports, Ghanshyam Nayak has been replaced with another actor. A picture of the actor has been going viral on social media.
In the photo, this senior actor can be seen sitting on a chair inside what looks like Gada Electronics. While the makers are yet to confirm the news, the photo has been going viral on social media.
Did you know Nayak's journey in the industry wasn't a cakewalk? He worked in about 350 Hindi serials with 200 Gujarati and Hindi films but kept struggling throughout his life.
"There was a time when I had to work 24 hours for just 3 rupees. 10-15 years ago our film industry did not give much money, sometimes we could not even get our fees. Then I used to borrow money from my neighbours to pay house rent and school fees for children," he had earlier shared in an interview Bhaskar.
Not long before he passed away, he told ETimes about his cancer diagnosis and said, "I am a positive person and never get upset or negative in life. I want to work till the last breath of my life and would like to die with my makeup on. I just want God to fulfil my wish".
Not many people know that Ghanshyam Nayak started working at the age of seven. He played a child artist in the 1960 film Masoom. In his career spanning over 56 years, he has worked in several films including Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (Vithal Kaka), Tere Naam, Chori Chori and Khaki among others.
