'This Is My Life, My Face', Shruti Haasan Takes A Stance On Plastic Surgery & Body Shaming
Actress Shruti Haasan has slammed the haters for body-shaming her. In response to the trolls who posted nasty comments on her picture. She has even confessed to have gone under the knife.
Some time ago, Raveena Tandon had slammed the hypocrisy of people who troll only actresses for plastic surgeries. She said there is a pressure of looking young in the industry and she is also a part of it. She also admitted that even actors go under the knife but no one questions them.
While many celebrities have talked about the obsession of looking younger, there are a very few celebrities who have admitted to have gone under the knife. Koena Mitra, who appeared on Bigg Boss 13, was one of the few who said that after her plastic surgery went wrong, her career in Bollywood was almost over.
Now, in response to the trolls who posted nasty comments on her picture, actress Shruti Haasan has slammed the haters for body-shaming her. With that, she even confessed to have gone under the knife.
"So .... I decided to post this right after my previous post and IĄ¯ll tell you why. IĄ¯m not one driven by other peopleĄ¯s opinions of me but the constant commenting and sheĄ¯s too fat now sheĄ¯s too thin is so avoidable. These two pictures have been taken three days apart. IĄ¯m sure there are women out there who relate to what IĄ¯m going to say. Most often IĄ¯m at the mercy of my hormones mentally and physically and over the years I work hard to try and have a healthy relationship with it. It isnĄ¯t easy. The pain isnĄ¯t easy the physical changes arenĄ¯t easy but whatĄ¯s become easier to me is to share my journey," she wrote.
Shutting down the trolls, she added, "No one famous or not is in a position to judge another person. Ever. ThatĄ¯s just not cool. IĄ¯m happy to say this is my life my face and yes IĄ¯ve had plastic surgery which IĄ¯m not ashamed to admit. Do I promote it ? No am I against it ? No - itĄ¯s just how I choose to live. The biggest favour we can do for ourselves and others is just be and learn to accept the changes and the movement of our bodies and minds. Spread love and be chill . IĄ¯m learning everyday to love me for me just a little more because the greatest love story of my life is with myself and I hope yours is too :)."
Shruti Haasan made her Bollywood debut in 2009 with the movie Luck. She has also featured in several Tamil and Telugu movies. Her last Bollywood movie was 2017 film Behen Hogi Teri.
