Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Become First Celebrity Victims Of Coronavirus, Test Positive In Australia
Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson have become first celebrities who have been tested positive for the dreaded Covid-19 coronavirus. Hanks will be tested observed and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Warner Brothers have also issued a statement about the same without mentioning or even identifying Tom Hanks.
A lot of celebrities have come under the scanner for having coronavirus, which has recently been declared a global pandemic by WHO. From Jackie Chan to Daniel Radcliffe, several celebrities were rumoured to be have become a victim of COVID-19. But turned out, the rumours were all unsubstantial.
Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson have become first celebrities who have been tested positive dreaded Covid-19 (coronavirus).
Hanks and Wilson were at the the Gold Coast in Queensland when this happened. They were busy with the pre-production work for the upcoming Baz Luhrman film based on rock n¡¯roll legend Elvis Presley. Hanks is playing the role of Presley¡¯s manager Colonel Tom Parker.
Announcing the news on social media, Hanks wrote, "Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia¡We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive."

Meanwhile, Warner Brothers have also issued a statement about the same without mentioning or even identifying Tom Hanks.
"We have been made aware that a company member from our Elvis feature film, which is currently in pre-production in The Gold Coast, Australia, has tested positive for Covid-19 (coronavirus).
"We are working closely with the appropriate Australian health agencies to identify and contact anyone who may have come in direct contact with the individual. The health and safety of our company members is always our top priority, and we are taking precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world.
"The individual who tested positive for COVID-19 is currently receiving treatment."
Currently, more than 100 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Australia
