Urvashi Dholakia Wants Fans To Move On From 'Komolika', Says She Has More To Offer As An Artist
"I departed from Komolika, unfortunately, the audiences have clung to it," she says.
Just try to remember the devious vamps of Indian TV, and the first one to strike your mind would be Komolika played by Urvashi Dholakia, right? Indeed, if there was a character that had changed the way Indian TV watching audience perceived negative roles, it was Komolika from Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
The actress has done several roles on TV, but this is the one for which she is most remembered. In fact, even after the show, she has featured in quite a variety of show, but when people see her, they still remember Komolika, the iconic character that she had once played.

While Urvashi is happy that people loved her in a negative role so much, she also wants people to know that she has a lot more to offer as an artist.
¡°After 'Kasautii...', I've done so much work. I departed from Komolika, unfortunately the audiences have clung to it. I feel like the cat who has lived nine lives. Whatever roles I have been a part of (since Kasautii), they all have been well-thought of and defined,¡± she told PTI.

Urvashi says that although Kasauti was the peak of her career, she has also had her share of low phases in life too.
¡°Once a person climbs Mt Everest, they can't go beyond it because that's the summit. The whole idea is to enjoy staying there and then come down, only to climb up once again. What goes up, comes down. It's the law of the universe. I'm not saying I haven't seen a downtime. I came down, now I'm climbing up again.¡±
The actress is currently playing the role of evil Queen Iravati of Naugarh in Chandrakanta, which is telecasted on Colors TV.
