¡®Is Your Name Vir Das Or You Have Come From Vir Das?¡¯, SRK Asked When He First Met The Comedian
Comedian Vir Das recalled meeting Pathaan actor Shah Rukh Khan in Mannat a decade ago and having conversations around 'what's funny?'
Shah Rukh Khan is currently enjoying the success of his recent release Pathaan. In a recent interview, actor-comedian Vir Das recalled his interaction with the megastar and shared that he met SRK in Mannat at the age of 25-26. Das also recalled the incident where his name became a funnybone for SRK.

Das in his interview also recalled how he had a long discussion with SRK regarding ¡®what¡¯s funny?¡¯.
Vir told Humans of Bombay, ¡°Someone went in and told Shah Rukh ¡®Vir Das se koi aaya hai (someone has come from Vir Das). So then you walk in and it¡¯s the study and everything. He's like, ¡®is your name Vir Das, or you have come from Vir Das? Which one are you?' I said, ¡®I have come from Vir Das¡¯.¡±
¡°And then we sat down and we were talking about jokes and some joke was written and I was like, ¡®sir, I don¡¯t think that's funny'. He was like, ¡®okay, okay young blood. You don't think that's funny, come on, tell me what do you think is funny?' And for the rest of the evening, he heard me out. A man at that level is willing to learn from me at 25,¡± the Landing artist added.
TV actress and DIY expert Uorfi Javed also reacted to boycott calls against Pathaan and said, ¡®Mujhe Dusri Biwi Banalo Shah Rukh¡¯.
Uorfi was recently spotted outside a restaurant where she shared her excitement for Pathaan. When asked about boycott calls Javed said, "Mere ko ban karo but Shah Rukh ko dekh lo (Ban me, but watch Shah Rukh's film)." She was later asked to share a message for SRK, to which Uorfi said, "I love you Shah Rukh, mujhe doosri biwi bana lo (make me your second wife)."
Amid protests and boycott calls, the Producer¡¯s Guild Of India thanked all state governments for ensuring a smooth release of this film.
Their official statement read, ¡°The Producers Guild of India is deeply grateful to all the state governments for maintaining law and order and ensuring the peaceful release of the historic blockbuster Pathaan across India. Your efforts in safeguarding the sanctity of cinema so that it can entertain India and Indians have boosted the confidence of the Indian film industry.¡±
