Poonam Pandey's manager Parul Chawla has reportedly confirmed the news of her tragic death due to cervical cancer. She added that the actress was diagnosed with the deadly disease some time ago and it was at a later stage. Now, a video has gone viral that shows the actress' last public appearance.

In her last interaction with the media, Poonam Pandey promised a big surprise.
While talking to Instant Bollywood at the event, she talked about a big surprise and said, "Aapke saamne ek itna bada news aane wala hai. Mujhe bahut accha lagta hai logo ko surprise karna. Jab voh samajhte hai yeh sudhar rahe hai, tab mujhe surprise karna aur bhi accha lagta hai. Toh ek bahut hi bada news aapke saamne aane wala hai (I will share big news soon. I like to surprise people. When people think that I am changed now, I like to surprise them even more. So, I am going to share big news soon)."
She also congratulated her 'brother' and Lock Upp co-contestant Munawar Faruqui for winning Bigg Boss 17.
Munawar and Poonam formed a close bond after Lock Upp season 1. After he won Bigg Boss 17, the actress said, "Mein day one se Munawar ko support kar rahi thi. I knew somewhere ki yahi jeetega. Mein uske saat Lock Upp mein 3 mahina rahi hun. I know that brain. I am glad he won. Big congratulations to my brother."
