Vishnu Manchu writes to CINETAA over Arshad Warsi's comment on Prabhas, fans call it 'overreaction'
Vishnu Manchu writes to CINETAA expressing concern over Arshad Warsi calling Prabhas' character Joker in Kalki 2898 AD. He requested the Cine and Television Artists Association (CINTAA) to advise him to refrain from making such comments in the future about his fellow actors.
Arshad Warsi's opinion about Kalki 2898 AD hasn't gone down well with many. Most celebrities don't diss a movie openly. Even if they don't like it, they call it average. However, Warsi was brutally honest in his recent interview where he said that he didn't like the Nag Ashwin directorial and thought that Prabhas' character in the movie was made to look like a joker. This has rubbed many people including Nani the wrong way. The Telugu actor who slammed Warsi however has now taken a U-turn saying he regrets his comments. Now actor-producer Vishnu Manchu has written a lengthy letter to CINETAA.

In his letter, he stated that the comments from a seasoned actor like Warsi have hurt the sentiments of the Telugu film industry and created "unnecessary negativity among cinema lovers". Furthermore, he has requested the Cine and Television Artists Association (CINTAA) to advise him to refrain from making such comments in the future about his fellow actors. "It is essential that we maintain the dignity and respect that each of our colleagues deserve, regardless of their regional affiliation," he wrote.
Fans call it overacting
Now, fans are calling out Vishnu Manchu for overacting. "I think this is unnecessarily blown out of proportion by third parties for their own clout," one of them said. "Overreacting over a small comment about a character in a film is crazy, why do we have to overdramatise everything and make it cringe," said another one. "Prabhas would probably greet Arshad with utmost respect and take his words under constructive criticism, all these nofos are tarnishibg his image by defending him, he is the last good at heart celebrity we have left," said another user.
What did Arshad Warsi say?
Arshad Warsi's comment is understandable. He criticized the character Prabhas portrayed, which is fair. In #Kalki, Prabhas's role did come across as awkward, with many cringeworthy scenes.#ArshadWarsi | #Prabhas | #Kalki2898ADpic.twitter.com/y6ZUAR1VNe

In the podcast Unfiltered with Samdish, Warsi said, "I am really sad. Prabhas was like a joker. I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. What have you made of it? Why do they do such things? I never understand."
Nani's comment on Arshad Warsi
"The actor #ArshadWarsi who commented on #Prabhas garu has gained more publicity and popularity now than he ever did throughout his entire acting career." ?

However, after watching the complete interview, he changed his mind. Now he feels the controversy was blown out of proportion and so was his comment. He has now said that he regretted making that comment and he admires Warsi as an actor.
