During a recent interview, veteran singer Anuradha talked about remixing and recreating old Hindi songs. The singer also recalled her reaction to Arijit Singh¡¯s version of her original song 'Aaj Phir Tum Pe,' which was picturized on Madhuri Dixit and Vinod Khanna.
The singer recalled that she had to listen to her own version of the original song ¡®multiple times¡¯ to forget Arijit Singh's remake, which had left her horrified.
Originally composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal and sung by Anuradha and Pankaj Udhas, Aaj Phir Tum Pe remains one of the most popular and evergreen Bollywood songs.
In an interview with Indian Express, Anuradha shared her opinion on the remixes of famous old songs.

¡°I do sometimes listen to my own songs, not a lot, but when I do, I listen to devotional ones. But you know when I listen to them? When there is a remix and I am horrified and I want to cry ¨C that is when I immediately, without fail, I put to my own songs and listen to them! That, ¡®Oh wow, well now this is such a good song'," the singer was quoted as saying by a leading media portal.

She even gave an example of a remix of her song that jolted her, Anuradha said she "was in tears¡± after listening to the recreated version of Aaj Phir Tum Pe Pyaar Aaya Hai sung by singer Arijit Singh.
