During the bail hearing, Aryan Khan addressed all of it -- including the leaked WhatsApp chats and political affiliations. Senior advocate and former attorney general of India Mukul Rohatgi argued in the court that when no drugs were recovered nor did the medical examination show consumption of any narcotic, his arrest would be "arbitrary¡±, reports Indian Express.
Senior advocate Amit Desai, who also appeared for Aryan Khan said that the leaked WhatsApp chats between him and his friend over a game of Poker have been "misinterpreted" by NCB as about drugs.

"Aryan Khan had a connection with the two people, including Arbaaz Merchant and Aachit Kumar. Kumar was not on the cruise and was later arrested from his house with ganja of 2.6 grams. He was a person with whom Aryan Khan was playing online poker¡ That was used to say there was consumption of drugs. There is no conspiracy. There was chit chat between two friends¡ and it is from 18 months ago."
Aryan has also distanced himself from the allegations that Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik has levied against Sameer Wankhede saying that he has nothing to do with the "unsavoury" political controversy.

The court also said that while no drugs were recovered from him, the fact that he was aware his friend Arbaaz Merchant was carrying it was also "conscious possession". On this, Rohatgi argued, "These are young boys. Even if you admit ¡®conscious possession¡¯ of 6 grams, the idea is that the law provides for young boys with no antecedents (to be treated) as victims, rather than (as) hardened criminals. They are entitled (to) rehab and there is immunity (from) prosecution in rehab. It is a fit case for bail".
The bail hearing will be continued today.
