The couple met at a friends party years ago but their first meeting did not go as you probably expected.
According to HerZindagi, Yuvraj once said in an interview, ¡° first met Hazel in 2011 at a friend's birthday and what caught my attention was her delightful smile. As it happens, she wasn't smiling at me. But I did catch her attention later that evening; I even complimented her work in the film Bodyguard."
He went on to add, "I must have asked her out for coffee seven to eight times, but she kept ignoring the topic! I have been shot down earlier but to be refused so many times was something else - she left me bewildered. I guessed she was dating someone else.¡±
For those who don't know Yuvraj noticed her on Angad Bedi's Facebook friend list in 2014. He warned Angad to avoid her since he liked her, and he was surprised that they had become friends after only a brief acquaintance.
At the Fatehgarh Sahib gurdwara, Yuvraj and Hazel were married on November 30, 2016, in a customary Anand Karaj ceremony. In accordance with Hindu customs, they reaffirmed their marriage vows on December 2, 2016, in Goa.
