Hindi movies nominated for first Indie Film Festival

While the list is full of outstanding films, Sajid Nadiadwala's Chandu Champion, directed by Kabir Khan and starring Kartik Aaryan, and Kiran Rao's Laapataa Ladies, starring Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, and Sparsh Shrivastava, have also received nominations.

Notably, it was India's official Oscar entry. Chandu Champion, created by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan, tells the life of Murlikant Petkar, a Paralympic swimmer.
