After Vicky Kaushal¡¯s fiery poster from Chhaava, Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna¡¯s first look have also started buzzing. Know why the internet finds one of them appealing and another disappointing.
Ala Re Ala Chhaava Ala! One of the highly-anticipated Bollywood projects of 2025 is ready to roar and rule in theatres this Valentine¡¯s Day. Headlined by Vicky Kaushal in the role of Maratha Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Chhaava will hit theatres on 14th February. It features an ensemble of stars playing some historic veterans with their looks unveiled one by one as the release date nears.
Rashmika Mandanna¡¯s first look as Yesubai disappoints fans
The Animal star is all set to step in the shoes of Maratha Maharani Yesubai, wife of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Her first look has been released with two posters. One of which features Rashmika in a heavy-duty saree with her head covered, coupled with multiple necklaces, earrings, nath, bangles and rings. While she looks happy in this one, the other one captures her in an emotional scene. Dressed in a red saree with royal jewellery, her tear-filled eyes spoke volumes.
However, it didn¡¯t convince the internet enough. One user wrote, ¡°She doesn¡¯t look convincing and honestly she¡¯s a very average actress. I have huge doubts over her diction in this film, hoping she doesn¡¯t ruin it.¡± Another one said, ¡°Gone are the days when they used to do look tests for roles. She doesn¡¯t look the part and I have no hope she is gonna get dictation correctly... She is clear miscast!¡±
Akshaye Khanna wins hearts as Aurangzeb
Khanna who has been on and off screen lately with not-so-meaty roles in the last few years is all set to make a massive comeback with Chhaava. He will be playing the character of Mughal Shehnshah Aurangzeb in this one and his first look is getting highly praised on the internet.
One user wrote, ¡°Wow finally some good posters !!! He's looking incredible! Looking at these posters I'm getting the feeling that he's easily going to be the best thing about Chhaava, like how Khilji was in Padmaavat.¡± Another person added, ¡°I definitely can't recognise him. The makeup artist did a good job. but looks apart, he is a brilliant actor. I know he is a nepo kid but very different from the rest of them. Akshaye Khanna knows his craft. Hats off to him!¡±
